Gathering Assets and using the quick selection tool to make montages in photoshop, import the layers into After Effects and use Null objects and a virtual camera to animate them and create an immersive 3D Landscape. I decided to create a surreal, overly-exaggerated piece using a whole range of varied high-resolution assets taken from Google Images. This skill is useful for pre-vis for feature films

Save your collage as a .psd and make sure you save all of the layers individually. Open After Effects, create a new composition and then import your .psd, selecting each individual layer and placing them on your composition. Re-frame using the S key (scale) to fit the composition. Add a null object and a camera. In the camera settings select 'Horizontal, 2 views'  Also enable the 3d Object button (the little cube) on every layer except the camera layer. Parent the Null to the Camera layer and play around with the axis of the Null object and the movement of the camera. You can also animate your individual layers. 

 I found that this is mostly about experimentation with different layers. I also learnt about the keyframe graph where you can adjust the speed in between the keyframes, so instead of it being one constant boring movement you can ramp it up and make it look cool.
