Reflections: More Progress
25.2.15In this piece I want to explore the fragile relationship between man and nature, more specifically our relationship with the environment around us and human impact on it/
This really was just a scout for locations, but in the real thing I think it would be cool to have the subject stand in five different run down woodland areas with different tools of destruction, maybe a chainsaw in one, a hatchet in another and another three (which I haven't decided on yet).
However, I don't want this piece to totally be about the destructive part of the relationship between. I also want to reflect on the human desire to be a part of or connect with nature, despite having being the ones causing much of the damage.

This photo, for me shows the veiled nature of our relationship with the world around us. How we can be surrounded by nature sometimes not fully acknowledge its beauty
Of course this is but one interpretation. It is probably true that not everyone shares this view, but it is worth exploring nonetheless.
