| Audio-Generated Landscapes |
Another way of visualising sound as light is using a script editing program called processing. using this, one can essentially create 3d landscapes using sounds. This kind of continues my idea of visualising sound in unique and creative ways. I particularly like this because it creates new, unknown landscapes, exploring light as a structural form and 'creating a sense of immersion by creating an environment engrossing enough to create a perception of presence in a non-physical world.'
I am currently working on recreating this effect using Processing, and will post about it when I have something more final and visually pleasing. One way I thought about utilising this effect is by going into a landscape, recording the atmosphere of it, create a soundtrack and then generate a new digital landscape based off of the sound energy of the original landscape.
Using this, I conducted more reseearch into sonic, visual and interactive installations.

Immersive environmental project called infinity room. Anadol likes to create 'temporary immersive environmental experiments' by using the state called immersion which is the state of consciousness where the person who is immersed awareness of physical self is transformed by being surrounded by an engrossing environment; often artificial, creating a perception of presence in a non-physical world.

Architecture as a canvas light as a material. Anadol says that the main purpose of these experiments was to examine the possibilities of grid systems and altering structural perception by self-explanatory language creating between software and viewer.

| City of Bits |
One work of art that really inspired me was Refik Anadol's arcitectural installation titled City of Bits / LADOT. Part of his ongoing series titled Temporary Immersive Environmental Experiments (T.I.E.E), City of Bits / LADOT is an interactive permanent media art installation based at the LADOT building in Los Angeles. Using sensors, databases and visualisation techniques using a system of LED lights, custom designed programming and real-time information feeds, the real-time dynamic of the city of Los Angeles is captured. This includes sound, light, air quality, acoustics, human movement, ecological dimensions, social preferences and their multiplicity of interactions. This is all combined together and then projected onto the building. And as it is all updated in real time, it creates a dynamic, fluid visual experience to complement the building also engage the public in a new and different way.
